Step 2 of 6
inSANE
More Food Means More Body Fat Stored & From Food to Body Fat
Listen
Note 1
Food can be classified by where it gets most of its calories. Seafood, some meat, egg whites, low-fat and low-sugar dairy, and low-sugar protein powders and bars are Proteins. Eggs, tofu, oils, nuts, seeds, some meat, and full-fat dairy are Fats. Everything else is carbohydrate.
Note 2
Your body converts protein into amino acids, carbohydrate into sugar (glucose), and fat into fatty acids.
Note 3
Amino acids are primarily used to repair and restore your body. Sugar (glucose) triggers the release of a lot of hormones like insulin, which enables it to be used as energy and also prevents the body from burning stored fat. Fatty acids are used as energy or stored to be used as energy later.
Step 3 of 6
SANE
More SANE Food Means More Body Fat Burned & Work With Your Body, Not Against It
Listen
Note 1
Protein is five calorie- burning steps away from body fat. It first has to be converted into amino acids. Then the amino acids have to become glucose, which then has to meet up with insulin that transforms to fatty acids, and hook up with glycerol-3-phosphate. Whew! Fat, on the other hand, is only two calorie-burning steps away: convert into fatty acids and hook up with glycerol-3-phosphate .
Note 2
It is impossible to store glucose as body fat without enough insulin. The more Aggressive a calorie is, the more insulin it triggers. This can overwork the system and lead to insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes.
Note 3
No body fat gets stored without glycerol-3-phosphate. Most glycerol-3-phosphate comes from inSANE starches and sweets.
Step 4 of 6
Quiz
Remember these? Give them one more try now that you’ve spent a few minutes going SANE.
Q1
Eating more food causes you to gain more body fat.
True
Try again.
False
Correct! Eating more inEfficient, Nutritious, unAggressive, and Satisfying SANE whole foods is clinically proven to burn more body fat given how different they are treated than Efficient, not Nutritious, Aggressive, and unSatisfying inSANE edible products.
True
Try again.
False
Correct! Many factors such as the Efficiency and hormonal impact (Aggression) of the sources of those calories, in addition to lifestyle factors such as stress, sleep, and exercise, determine if more calories consumed means more fat gained or more lean muscle tissue developed and more calories burned.
Q3
Different sources of calories (aka food) have much different likelihoods of causing you to gain body fat.
True
Correct! Saying all calories have the same impact on the body gaining fat is like saying that all pills have the same impact on the body overcoming disease. The quality of what is put into the body matters just as much as the quantity.
False
Try again.
Step 5 of 6
